  This article describes how to upgrade or re-install Ping Thing v2.10 or above.

 

How To


 

 
  Install Ping Thing over your existing version.  By default, when you run Ping Thing, you will receive default devices and settings.

  Ensure that Ping Thing is closed, and then navigate to your default Ping Thing folder.

   Your Ping Thing folder, by default will be in \program files\mad-monkey\ping thing
 

  In this folder, right click on, and rename the file called PingThing.ini, to PingThing.bak

  You will also find a file called PingThing.x, where "x" signifies the previous version that was installed, for example, PingThing.210.

  Right click on this file, and rename it to PingThing.ini

  Start PingThing as normal, and you will receive your old devices and settings.
